JAMMU, May 18: Jammu District’s White Knight Cricket Premier League pre-qualifying matches hosted by the Indian Army have started at the Country Cricket Ground Gharota in Akhnoor, here today.
The army organizes the tournament with the aim of providing local talents with a platform to showcase and exploit their skills in the field of cricket.
The matches are organized by Indian Army for White Knight Jammu Premier League-2022 in collaboration with Vikrant Sharma (CCS Manager) and Sarthak Khoda (J&K Social Activist and Sports Promoter).
A total of 12 teams from all over Jammu region have registered for the matches and the winning team will represent Jammu district in the League matches starting June 2, thereafter the semi-finals and finals will take place. will take place respectively on June 13 and 14 in Akhnoor. .
The first match was played between Sanjay Cricket Club Janipur and Knight Watchers Cricket Club Kherian.
Meanwhile, pre-qualifying matches for the upcoming White Knight Cricket Premier League have also started in Ramban District, where 16 teams from various parts of Ramban District have signed up for the tournament.
The inaugural match of the tournament was played between Shah-I-Assar Kaskoot and Rajput Royals Rajgarh at District Police Line Ground, Ramban. The tournament was opened by Brig Yogesh Sharma, Sector 11 Commander in the presence of Dharambir Singh, DYSSO and Deputy Superintendent of Police Pardeep Kumar Sen.
