See ’70s model and Mick Jagger’s ex Jerry Hall now at 65

Described as “the definition of glamour” by vogueformer model and legendary beauty of all time jerry room has lived most of his life in the spotlight. Born in Texas in 1956 and discovered by a talent scout while sunbathing on a beach in southern France in the early 1970s, she became a model while still a teenager. For decades, she lived at the intersection of fashion and rock. She appeared on the album cover of Roxy Music Mermaid in 1975 he dated musicians and nearly got married, and eventually got hitched to one of the world’s most powerful media moguls. In the meantime, she has raised a family and kept herself busy as an actress and fashion icon. Keep reading to see where Hall’s life has taken her and what she’s doing now at 65.

By the 1970s, as her modeling career exploded and appeared on the covers of countless magazines, Hall was entrenched in the world of rock music. She started dating the Roxy Music singer Brian Ferry in 1975, and in 1977 was firmly attached to the leader of the Rolling Stones Mick Jaggerwith whom she will spend several decades.

Hall met Jagger when she was 20 and became engaged to Ferry, and Jagger was married to his first wife, White. Ferry invited Jagger to dinner, and the singer was “instantly smitten” with his host’s fiancée, according to Harper’s Bazaar. Hall and Jagger each broke up with their respective partners and ended up being together for over 20 years.

They had four children—Elizabeth Scarlettborn in 1984; Jacques Leroyborn in 1985; Georgia May, born in 1992; and Gabriel-Luc, born in 1997, but never officially married. (They had a Hindu commitment ceremony in 1990 which was later ruled invalid.) The couple separated in 1999, a separation which Hall blamed on Jagger’s wandering eye and the fact that he put another woman, model Luciana Morad, pregnant.

Although most famous as a model, Hall has acted extensively over the years. She had small roles in the 1980s Urban cowboy opposite John Travolta and as one of the molls to by Jack Nicholson Joker in the 1989s Batman. On TV, she was on the British reality dating series Kept and the comedy series French and Saunders. She also voiced a character in the animated series popetown. In 2012, she was a candidate for Come dance strictlythe original UK version of Dancing with the stars.

But his most important roles have been in the theater.

In 1988 Hall starred in a production of Bus stop in the role created by Marilyn Monroe and played the part again when the show traveled to London’s famous West End. In the 2000s, she played Mrs. Robinson in a Broadway production of The graduation. In 2016, Hall, then 59, married an 84-year-old media mogul Rupert Murdoch five months after they started dating.

“Rupert is the most wonderful husband. He’s so easygoing. Such beautiful manners,” she said Harper’s Bazaar in 2019.

The wife and mother are close to his adult children – “I actually put them above everything else. As soon as they’re available, everything else passes,” she said. Independent.ie in 2012—and his grandson. His daughter Elizabeth had a son, Eugenein 2020.

“Being a grandmother is wonderful,” she said Daily mail shortly after his birth.

These days, Hall is involved in politics and has found a new passion away from the flash of cameras.

After her daughter Elizabeth became an Equal Rights Amendment activist, helping produce the documentary Equal means equalHall began to use his own influence to support the cause.

The star also developed an interest in winemaking. She began taking wine classes at UC Davis in 2016 and owns a vineyard with Murdoch, Moraga Bel Air Vineyard Estate.

“It’s kind of old California with all these live oak trees,” Hall told Pix Beta this month. “We have two owls that live here and captured a mountain lion on our security cameras. We both love living on working farmland.”

But she’s not ready to give up the spotlight entirely. In December 2021, Hall starred in the Saint Laurent Summer 2022 collection campaign, taking her back to her roots. “Yves Saint Laurent was my first fashion show,” she said, as DSCENE reports. “I was wearing his tuxedo. And Helmut Newton was my first photographer, in 1973. I was really lucky. I’ve had an incredible career.”
