Whatever your opinion here is quite an achievement, knowing that other competitors would not ask, they will come to improve this soon and have it available halfway through a year or 2. Hoping Android will catch up. its delay, with its development of AI and fully exploit the potential of future plowshares.

It’s not like they’re going to lower the price or anything. Also, they don’t want hardware that would allow people to charge Android or whatever, they are using a different architecture (based on the arm) to keep the store closed to strangers.
It’s funny for the last decade, I mean in the last 10 years, every flagship processor and GPU is 20-30% faster and more reliable than previous flagship GPUs and processors.
So along 100 hours of endurance and no more than 6-8 on a heavy game (I mean when you run a certain game which is hard on the RAM and GPU like I play Clash of Lords 2)
Any phone average 6-8 hours from 100% until the battery dies.
Looks like Mediatek will do the same to Qualcomm as AMD did to Intel.
Good on MediaTek! They are the first on TSMC’s 4nm process. Even the A15 is still 5nm. Hopefully they will become the market leader this year in flagship processors (they are already the leader in everything else).
ae86, 11 hours agoI hope TSMC will develop further in the coming decades. Winning TSMC is good for TaiwanI’ve read that TSMC and Samsung are already reaching the limit when it comes to water supply. To go even smaller process, they need more clean water. Maybe they need a new site with plenty of clean water.

These speed boosts are largely irrelevant unless they can operate without thermal limitation – like all current SoCs.
